Unveiling Our Carbon Reduction Plan: A Blueprint for Sustainability
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the
past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions.
Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be calculated

Emission Reduction Target
initiatives we will undertake to reduce the amount of resources used or emissions generated
- Reduce business travel carbon emissions
- Reduce energy use per square meter
- Purchase electricity from verified renewable sources
- Reduce single use plastics, packaging and increase recyclability
- Reduce energy usage through increased staff awareness, LED lighting replacement.
- Reduce scope 3 emissions by 10% though increased home working, remote delivery, use of other forms of transport
- Use of online resources instead of printed
- Biodiversity initiatives developed or supported
- Due diligence on 100% supply chain to ensure commitment to carbon reduction
Per activity, how much each initiative will reduce the total resources used or emissions generated (represented in both kg or % of total per annum
We will reduce p/a as follows:-
- Reduce business travel by 10%.
- Reduce energy by 10%
- Electricity from verified renewable sources 7.5%
- Reduce consumption and waste 20%
- Reduce single use plastics, packaging and increase recyclability 30%
- Reduce energy usage through increased staff awareness, LED lighting replacement 5%
- Reduce scope 3 emissions though increased home working, remote delivery, use of other forms of transport 10%
- Use of online resources instead of printed
- Biodiversity initiatives developed or supported in Trust local area 7%
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been meticulously developed in compliance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance, adhering to the reporting standard specified for Carbon Reduction Plans. Emissions have been accurately documented following the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard, employing government emission conversion factors for comprehensive greenhouse gas company reporting. In alignment with SECR requirements, both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported, while the essential subset of Scope 3 emissions has been detailed according to the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard, accessible at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/government-conversion-factors-for-company-reporting. The thoroughness of this plan is underscored by its review by the board of directors, ensuring a comprehensive and strategic approach to carbon reduction.
