Band 6 Psychological Intervention Practitioner Contract/Temporary

We are currently looking to recruit Psychological Intervention Practitioner’s, Social Workers, Nurses or Occupational Therapists who are compassionate, caring and can prioritise the needs of the clients.

Shift Schedule:

A Psychological Intervention Practitioner in this role will be required to work full time for a total of 37.5 hours per week. Typical hours worked are 08:00–16:00 or 09:00–17:00.

Part-time candidates will be considered working minimum 3 days per week.

This is a Locum position to cover a worker taking extended leave.

Psychological Intervention Practitioner Job Description:

You are responsible for providing high quality psychological interventions to services users with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder primarily within a CBT approach. You will have a small, allocated caseload of service users who are care co-ordinated under the Care Programme Approach (up to 5 cases).

Candidates require prior training and experience in delivering CBT interventions and working with severe/complex mental illness on an acute inpatient ward or community recovery setting. CBT experience being the main requirement which can then be supported under supervision for the relevant interventions.

Candidates with any experience offering Brief Family Interventions as psychosocial interventions are also desirable.

Psychological Intervention Practitioner’s must have:

• HCPC/NMC registration with a license to practice
• Minimum of 6 months NHS experience
• Recognised qualifications
• Have right to work in UK
• A current DBS on the update service
• Full flu/COVID Vaccinations*

*As per government guidelines, Psychological Intervention Practitioner’s must have proof of their first jab by 1st February 2022 and be fully vaccinated by 1st April 2022.
